Ahead of the semi-final clash between Morocco and Nigeria at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Coach of the Atlas Lionesses, Reynald Pedros has said that his team is well prepared for the encounter.
Reacting to questions from journalists at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium conference room, the former Olympique Lyonnais Féminin coach said his team have a full understanding of their opponents and is prepared with positive vibes to ensure their progress into their first final.
“We are preparing the same way we prepared for the quarter-finals and other Matches with commitment and trying our best.”
“We don’t have negative pressure on our team and the training, we haven’t changed anything. Our program remains the same.”
“I believe Nigeria is truly the strongest in Africa, always qualifies for the World Cup and won the AFCON several times. We know their strength and everything is possible, we will do our best.”
“We know their strength and we know that they are very strong. They are very competitive, however, we are very ready for them, but I won’t reveal what we will do against them.”
“We know how they play, their experience, nevertheless, regardless of the difficulty of the match we are ready to face them.”
“I wouldn’t say that winning or losing is something to consider, for now, now we are just focusing on winning. Ever since we started, we decided to carry on and now in the semi-finals, we will try to win it. We have only positive ideas.”
“We don’t have any injuries, all players have physical goodness and have all rested, we are prepared for tomorrow. The match against Senegal was different and that of Nigeria also will be different.”
“We will display good performance against them because there are no weak teams in the tournament and all teams are strong.”
Morocco who beat Bostwana 2-1 in the quarter-finals will host Nigeria in the second semi-final on Monday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat at 9 pm.
