Sunny Osayande in show of appreciation, promise to assist Edo football development

The outpouring of love and the massive turnout of friends and well wishers for the birthday celebration of the chairman chief executive of Big Joe Ventures, Comrade Sunny Osayande over the weekend came as a rude shock to the celebrant considring the difficult situation in town and the country as a whole.

The 2 day birthday event celebration which started with a novelty match played at the Western Boys High School on Saturday witnessed a massive attendance by ex-footballers and present all star players as well as an appreciable crowd to the amazement of the celebrant who coincidentally scored the winning goal for his side by converting a penalty to ensure a 2-1 victory for Team Osayande over Team friends and all stars.

Comrade Sunny Osayande became surprised the more when at half time, he was presented series of gifts by football teams, the football association as well as individuals whose lives have in no small ways being touched by the business man and union leader.

Some of the teams that presented gifts on the day included Fortress ladies, Edo State All Stars, Bendel Insurance feeders team, All stars of Ikpoba hill, Rolly FC and the Edo State Football Association as well as friends and well wishers.

BJ Foundation FC, a foremost team in Edo state which has even gone on to represent the state at the national level, carried on with the show of love with a home visit, led by the club secretary, KIndness Ohiwerei in company of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Edo state secretary, Comrade Moses Agbonlahor.

“I am surprised and happy at the same time for the presence, gifts and outpouring of love by all. On behalf of my family I like to thank everyone and show our appreciation by pledging to continue to assist youth football grow in Edo state”, Comrade Sunny Osayande declared.
The birthday proper was marked on Sunday, January 24th.
