President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for redeeming themselves against Central African Republic (CAR) in the World Cup Qualifiers played in Douala, Cameroon.
Two first half goals from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen was all the Super Eagles needed to secure maximum points and avenge the loss they suffered at home against CAR.
Prince Okumagba hailed the boys for bringing their A-game into the match as this will further boost Nigeria’s quest in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
“I had no doubt that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will bounce back after the loss in Lagos, today they have shown it in style as they took their pound of flesh thereby boosting our chances of making the World Cup”.
He however, enjoined the team to remain focused even as he assured them of continuous support from SESC.
“The job is not done yet, we have Liberia and Cape Verde next month, as the Eagle is always focus when attacking it’s prey, I enjoin you to remain focused and I want to assure you that the Super Eagles Supporters Club will always be there to give you the moral support to surmount the task ahead”.
The Super Eagles remain top of Group C with 9 points, 2 above Cape Verde who they play at home next month but will first have a date with Liberia away from home.
