Less than 24 hours after beating Egypt in the group AFCON Opener, the Nigeria national team are back sweating it out in training.
The Super Eagles, still basking in the euphoria of taming the Muhammed Sallah led Pharaohs of Egypt, decided not to get carried away as they are back in office, the training pitch.
The group D table toppers arrived the Stade Omnisport Roumde Adjia some minutes before their scheduled training time, 11.00am to the loud cheers of Nigerian supporters, Camerounian fans and even Journalists alike.
“We are here for recovery training. That’s the standard practice. Those injured don’t participate, the ones who didn’t play participate more while it’s light training for those who featured in the match”, Ex-international, Patrick Paschal who is a back room staff of the team, highlighted.
The training lasted for well over one hour, with coach Paul Aigbogun taking charge with the assistance of the rest coaches while Austin Eguavoen supervised proceedings.
Nigeria next take on Sudan in the 2nd game of the Group on 15th January.
