A move from the continent of Africa to Europe is imminent for Nigerian goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, scorerfootballmagazine.com can report.
This piece of cheering news was broken by no other than the goalkeeper’s manager, Muhammed Lawal who just like Daniel Akpeyi is based in South Africa.
“I can confirm that we have received offers from Belgium and Germany. I can not mention the names of the clubs now but be rest assured that offers are already on the table”, Muhammed Lawal himself a former junior international spoke yesterday on NSM Nigeria.
Daniel Akpeyi, presently Nigeria’s number one goal keeper is still contracted to South African top club, Kaizer Chiefs and that according to his manager when answering a follow-up question is top priority for now.
“Daniel is still a Kaizer Chiefs player. He has just had a 2-year contract extension and that his where his focus lies. We are only waiting for the Corona Virus pandemic to end and see if the South African Premier League is going to continue or not and see what is next for the player but for now and going forward he remains committed to Kaizer Chiefs”, Muhammed Lawal affirmed.
Daniel Akpeyi was a member of the Nigeria U-20 team that won silver at the 2005 FIFA U-20 world cup in the Netherlands and also has an Olympic bronze medal from the 2016 Olympics.
Daniel Akpeyi formerly at Chippa United also kept between the sticks for Nigeria at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, finishing with a bronze medal.
