BENDEL INSURANCE TURN BACK WIKKI TOURIST 2-0 IN NPFL

Goals from Michael Enaruna and Adimorama Eze were all Insurance of Benin needed to see off  Wikki Tourist of Bauchi in the Nigerian  Premier Professional Football League match played Sunday in Benin.

All attacking Insurance started on the front foot as they held the larger part of the possession against a more conservative Wikki Tourist team.

Insurance had a couple of chances missed earlier in the game and Charles Omokaro looked to have compounded their woes after he was fouled in the eighteen yard box, picked himself up but blasted his spot kick over the bar in the 45th minute of the game.

Coach Monday Odigie sacrificed Omokaro for Adimorama Eze at the start of the second half and Insurance continued from where they stopped in the first half with relentless attacks at the Wikki goal. The visitors too had some great attempts at goal but Amas Obasogie in goal for Bendel Insurance was also having a great day with saves after saves.

Insurance domination paid off in the 65th minute after Junior Osaghae made no mistake tapping in a loose ball after the Wikki defenders were caught napping on the counter.

Adimorama Eze told the world that coach Monday Odigie was not wrong to have subbed Omokaro for him when he clinically put Insurance in an insured position of the game in the 70th minute.

The game was called to an end after four minutes of added time by the centre referee as Insurance won their second home match on the bounce after defeating table toppers  MFM FC 1-0 last week Saturday and now sit in the eighth position the log with 15 points.
