The median edition of the SlapFight Championship Nigeria stormed the mainland of Lagos on Sunday as 8 athletes fought for glory and honour of the median fights where a total of eight bouts took place at the Next Arena, Lagos.
The excitement of fans at the arena was electrifying as fans expressed joy and satisfaction at the rolled out bouts.
The ‘Light-Heavyweight’ category for male athletes and the middleweight for the female draw a lot of applause as the fighters took turns to deliver jaw breaking slaps to their opponents.
Power Vic lost to Lion Zion in the men’s heavyweight category while Ya Stylish J carts home the Women’s heavyweight while Salam emerged Middleweight champion
Present at the event was the Chairman of Africa Wrestling Organization, Jimmy Palm. Jimmy Palm while addressing the excited crowd, appreciated the organizer SlapFight Championship Nigeria for introducing the combat sport to the country as this will provide an alternative to the teeming sports lovers and fans of combat sport in Nigeria.
While he congratulated the median winners of the debut bouts, Jimmy Palm encouraged them to put in more effort to maintain their champions status.
Up next is an open fight scheduled for late November while the initial title fight in the four weight categories will be in December as informed by Mr., Abdulrahman Orosanya, SlapFight Championship Nigeria Chief Executive Officer
