John Ogu In Emotional Farewell to Israeli Club.

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu is parting ways with present club Hapoel Beer Sheba after a five year relationship.

The news was made known by the mercurial midfielder in the early hours of Wednesday via his official twitter handle @ogujohnogu. Ogu in his message expressed his feelings for the club and how it will be coming to an end after a five year romance.

“After five years in Hapoel Be’er Sheva, I have decided I won’t be continuing my career here.

The 30 year old six feet, three inches tall midfield maestro joined the Israeli giants in September 2014 from Portuguese side, Academica where he netted a goal in 27 appearances.

The former Akwa United player has played 140 games and registered a goal and won six titles with the club (Israeli League: 2015/16,16/17,17/18, the Israeli Super Cup:2016 and 2017, and the Toto Cup, 2016-2017 season.

The Lagos born in his farewell message appreciated the club’s support for him while playing for them “All I just want to say is thank you to everyone that made it possible for me to be here, thank you for the memories and support.

Ogu who was voted 2016 “Best Foreign Player” in the Israeli league also appreciated the fans and thanked them for their love “And to the fans, I specially say Big Thank You.

Scorerfootballmagazine.com learnt that John Ogu will be heading to Turkey to continue his career.
